Electricity and Magnetism Questions?!?

I have a test tomorrow and I had a few questions on the review! Please help :) You don’t have to answer all….but it would be appreciated ;)
*Which of the following is the reason "soft" iron is used for the cores of electromagnets?
a. difficult to magnetize
b. easily magnetized
c. has no magnetic domains
d. permanent magnet

*In an electric motor, periodically changing the direction of current in the electromagnet can cause the axle to spin because
a. electromagnet loses magnetism
b. mechanical energy is converted to electric energy
c. moving electrons push the electromagnet in opposite direction
d. magnetic field reverses direction

* How can the voltage in a coil of wire be increased in the process of electromagnetic induction?
a. move magnet inside the coil of wire more slowly.
b. hold magnet stationary
c. move coil of wire slowly, and keep magnet stationary
d. move magnet inside the coil of wire more rapidly

* The process of generating an electric current by moving an electrical conductor relative to a magnetic field is called:
a. magnetization
b. electromagnetic force
c. electromagnetic induction
d. alternating current

* How are fossil fuels used to generate electrical energy?
a. heat from burning fuel spins magnets inside an electrical motor
b. heat from burning fuel creates steam that spins a turbine
c. heat from burning fuel causes an electric motor to produce a current
d. heat from burning fuel creates steam that turns a transformer

Thanks so much!! Again, you don’t have to answer all…and these are only the one’s i didn’t understand! Please help :)

I need help with an electromagnetic rocket?

An electromagnet is what I’m sure you already know, a magnet powered by electricity. What I don’t know is how to build a rocket using electromagnetism.
A couple of guys did it, but I want an easier sou lotion. Its basically a coil of wire on a wooden plate and connected to a bunch of batteries.
The rocket is a cardboard tube with a nose cone and fins, and a bit of metal on the bottom.
If you have any information, plz help me!!!!!!!
Btw, they’re rocket info is at:

How can you make an electromagnet?

Which of the following is a way to make an electromagnet?
A) Connect a magnet in a circuit to a source of electricity (like a cell).
B) Connect a magnetic material in a cicuit to a source of electricity (like a cell).
C) Wrap a coil of wire around a magnetic material, then connect the coil in a circuit to a source of electricity.

What happens in a generator between a magnet and coil?

When a magnet goes over a coil of wire in a generator the negative and positive ions clash and form electricity which can then be stored or used in some way. But what is this process called and what EXACTLY happens?

I have a question about electricity generation.?

I like to tinker as it is called, turning one thing into another, or improving it, or adding on to it; have been this way all my life.
Now that I am semi retired and medically disabled, I have extra time, really too much extra time; boy I never in my life I’d say that.
My question is this: If I were to take a 10 speed bike, disconnect the front brake cable and remove the brake pads but leave the caliper assembly where it is. Then attach magnets on the rim area that the brake pads use to touch, about ½” apart from each other with the positive end on the magnets facing out all the way around the rim on both sides; then place a coil of wire on each of the two areas that held the brake pads and adjust them close to the magnets, and began to ride the bike, would it generate D.C. electric current; and if I alternated the magnets on the rim one positive, then one negative, would it be generating A.C. current?
I do under the principal of how electricity is generated, and what basically what A/C & D/C is, but I had stated, would it be a crude way to generate power? Please no long egg head detailed answers, just a simple yes or no would do. Thanks for any answer that may be provided.
Thanks Ben! LOL! The question was just to clear the fog in my head. I have something much bigger that I’ll be working on, an idea I have since I was a kid over 50 years ago but until recently and after seeing something that solved one major flaw in my device; [technical advancements and all] I didn’t pursue it but will now. What I saw open a door that was sealed shut for so many years and got the rusty gears in my head turning. Thanks again, if all works out, you’ll get a big mention.

hand crank to produce electricity?

hand crank to produce electricity
something like a hand crank flashlight.
Is it basically a coil of wire and then a magnet moved in the coil.
to change the ac to dc you use a diode.

why wont my electric generator generate electricity?

i have 4 neodymiums magnets attached to a drill i spin the drill as fast as it goes i put a coil of wire on the other end and hook a small light bulb to the wire but yet no electricity is generated whats the problem ive tried sooo many things like hooking up a battery to wire and spinning a rotor that has magnets on them yet the magnets do not stay in motion ive tried so many ways that im starting to believe wtf its a lie
thanks for the comment i will some reading on magnetism and electricity
